dove from heaven: dove intensive repair conditioner
im a hair satanist and torture my hair everyday with hot-aired hairdryers and straighteners so i am currently on the search for the holy grail of hair products - and i got one step closer when i received a mini dove hair care therapy intensive repair conditioner free in marie claire last month. i had heard a lot of buzz about it but i am always unsure of spending money on beauty products unless there are a lot of good reviews as it can be a waste of money finding out. the adverts make a lot of claims and most of the time, they do not live up to them. however i was plesasantly surprised. like a standard leave-in conditioner, you apply it after shampooing and leave it for a minute before washing out. it feels very thick and creamy in the hair when you are washing it out as opposed to that limp, greasy feeling - but as always make sure you do give it a thorough scrub or you will be left with residue. my split ends seemed in better quality and my hair didnt seem so dried out and frazzeled. furthermore it gave my hair more lustre with no traces of grease. even better most of the range comes in below £5 - the conditioner is £2.65 for 200ml at Superdrug. but there were disadvantages: there was no scent and although the immediate benefits were impressive, it made absolutely no difference after the day of original use.
overall i would give the product a shot as with the budget price and is good for a night out when you want your hair to impress - but from the point of longterm prevention and damage control this is not the right product as its mainly constructed of chemicals to give a temporary boost, not to give it an R&R.
so i guess was given a blessing from heaven for a while but my hair is still frazzling in hell. i hope you will think of me as the davinci code for hair as i continue in the search for my holy grail. till then...

joining the animal kingdom
its an age-old trend but faux fur and animal print are the kings of the runway this season. from my safaris round the stores I have realised a prevalence of our furry friends. you don't need to indulge in a £70 fur coat either - although my closet is getting jealous of olivia palermo - topshop and h&m have plenty of market options as well standard winter coats with fur collars for the mouse amongst the men. one way to incorporate the trend without going park lane is a stole, don't jump to the stereotype - warm, glamorous, cosy; what more could a girl want and your visa doesn't need to stress out as both h&m and zara do versions for around £15. infact tout le corps can join in the fun as hunter's leopard print welly warmers are set to sell out for a second winter in a row: get in there soon before christmas as even santa will run out quick; thats if mrs claus hasnt stolen them all first. but do watch what you wear them with as they could appear tacky when paired with cheap or patterned items: lets say be they are for a discernible dresser.
if you dont have the balls to jump on that band wagon, you can still welcome our feline friends into your closet. both river island and topshop have subtle sets of animal print leggings for around £20. Although this seems expensive for a pair of leggings, they are the statement part of your ensemble and can be paired with so many different tops. Just don't repeat the original sin and wear a short t-shirt with them: as beautiful as your derriere is, the whole world doesn't want to see it. on my travels i spotted a cheeky pair of snakeskin print shorts - £25 - but a more edgy and easy way to incorporate print. If that isn't timid enough for you and you want to go for the super subtle look then accessories is the way forward. a leopard print headband, scarf or belt is a regular feature in my outfits and prevents pat-butcherdom. another en plus is that it can make the most minamilitic outfits more interesting which is perfect for those low-maintenance days: crisp white t-shirt, denim ankle-grazers, leopard print scarf and barbour jacker and you are pret-a-partir.
however the best piece of advice i can give is to be tactful with your satorial paintbrush. just because it is an emerging trend does not mean that it will neccesarily suit your look.
but do give it a shot and come join me here in the animal kingdom. it will certainly earn you some fashion (and animal) stripes.until next time....

nebula nails
This is the rad nebula nails trend. Im really into nail art in the moment and its an amazing trend for autumn to make your nails a bit different. the video is by the beautiful sototallyvlog who has THE most amazing videos - worship at her altar for she is the youtube buddha.
getting deep.
They used me like a fool, they treated me like dirt Just because I didn’t moan, don’t mean it didn’t hurt They tried to put me away, but I’m back and I’m here to stay And nothin’ can stand in my way- Angry Anderson on Rose Tattoo’s ‘Dead Set’, from Scarred For Life
my body is a canvas
so dolls, tattoos. some love them, some hate them. im on the each to their own bench. life is short, you should take risks - and sure there will be regrets but i think its better to make mistakes than sit there wondering what if. in the words of peter skaarsgard 'study at the university of life'. i think i want to get a tattoo but not just some pointless piece of shit. something meaningful - and not make it mean something for the sake of it - but because it represents something. im not gonna delve into why im thinking of the tattoos i am considering: just take it at face value: a rose on inside of my wrist, writing on my rib saying 'never lose your muchness' and birds in some form. here is my tattspiration.
